For a peaceful and unique setting the caravan club site has beautiful views of the Somerset countryside including the King Alfred's tower and the Stourhead Woods. There is plenty to see and do in and around Wincanton with the 9-hole golf course in the centre of the racecourse and the site is on the 'Cycle round Somerset' route.

The Fleet Air Arm museum and the Haynes Motor Museum are both Wincanton Racecourse Caravan Site within 15 miles of the site and Stourhead House (National Trust) is just 6 miles away and has beautiful gardens that are open to the public. The site provides a quiet holiday location and an ideal touring base for a comparatively unvisited area.
